In a startling (but not altogether unexpected) turn of events for conservatives the nation-over, it appears we all may have to call Joe Biden our next president.
Granted, most of us will likely make a point of not resorting to the same childish antics that liberals the nation-over did when Trump became president, with cries of “Not my president”, and demonstrations which never ceased to find reasons to exist right up until the end of his term (we still have to finish out the year, and the mere sight of him in the white house is enough to make the average “liberal” want to burn a car), but make no mistake, we hold this as a less than desirable result, to say the least, and bodes of a dark future.
It may prove to be especially troubling for conservative Americans who also happen to be Native Americans.
To understand why, we first have to understand who these two men are, and, more particulalrly, what they mean (or could mean) for America.
We have experienced four years of a Donald Trump presidency, though we have yet to see a Biden one. Liberals everywhere are jubilant that Biden’s time may yet come to pass. To them, Trump was a merciless dictator whose callousness and ineptitude were matched only by his bad hair and orange skin. A racist, an imprisoner of children, a hater of women, a traitor to his country, the list goes on and on…
While liberals have control over most forms of mass media in this country, there are still plenty more Trump-supporting conservatives and Republicans who put Trump in office the first time in spite of it all, and while the dominant liberal media has succeeded in dehumanizing us worldwide, they have nonetheless not changed the reality that, no matter how strong a sentiment, there is always an opposition: two sides to every story, more than one opinioin concerning something–and the notion that Donald Jonathan Trump was and is good for this country is far from dead.
So while liberals may dance naked in the streets in celebration of their new messianic era at the hands of anyone who isn’t Trump, as they know a day has arrived when “people are no longer defined by their race or class” (among other blatantly socialist–not to mention uninspired–tropes), let us tell you a little bit about the Donald Trump that WE remember:
Donald J Trump was a man who:
— Renegotiated NAFTA, a distastrous trade deal for all Americans, improvng the economy for all.
— Pulled the Country out of the Paris Agreement, which pushed the idea that all the problems with the earth can be solved by getting Americans to toss untold sums of money to strangers across the ocean, who will magically reverse “climate change” for the right price.
— Reversed absurd, socialist Obamacare functions which made not having healthcare a crime.
— Signed several orders standing up for and promoting all expressions of religious faith.
— Made an executive order to help veterans coming back from war gain access to psychiatric counselling before reentering civilian life, helping to prevent PTSD.
— Stood up for both the second ammendment (right to bear arms) and small business owners/entreprenuers
These are just a few of the things Trump did for ALL Americans.
But what did he do for Native Americans?
President Donald Trump and his White House:
— Overruled old, racist legislation which prevented the “five civilized tribes” from claiming membership on certain people without the right “blood quantum” in certain places in Oklahoma.
— Upheld tribal sovereignty in the same state.
— Increased tribal soverignty with new laws, including ones that affirm the cultural and spiritual heritage of Natives, such as allowing them to take feathers from government-protected bald eagles who have died for ceremonies and other important functions.
— Compensated tribes for losses of land and recognized new tribes, including the Spokane Little Shell tribe of Chippewa, who had been dreaming of recognition for so long.
— Became the only president to ever address the decades old problem of murdered and missing Indigenous women with the creation of Operation Lady Justice, dedicated to finding and (if possible) returning these people to their families.
Again, just a few of the things Trump did for First American citizens of this country. For 2021, the Trump administration released a document entitled: “Putting First Americans First: Forgotten No Longer”, committed to these things, which is more than any president has done for Native peoples since Richard Nixon (also a Republican), proving that his faithfulness to America’s Native population was not going to be just a one-term gag.
THAT is the Donald Trump that we remember.
Now, with all of this in mind, who, exactly, is Joe Biden?
Joe Biden has been in the White House once before, as the vice President of Barack Hussein Obama. Now, it seems he may yet be back in the White House once more, with even more power than he had before. But what does that mean?
In Obama’s White House, “minorities” of all kinds took center stage: they made a point to appear “diverse”, since the “first black president” could do nothing but (and, in the minds of many, no wrong), and to do otherwise would damage his legacy. Native Americans were included on the stage, with Obama recoloring old days of rememberance with new, more “Native-friendly” titles, like, Columbus Day becoming “Indigenous People’s day”, and so on and so forth, and affirming every kind of “responsibility” this country has to the first peoples.
But stages are for shows, and Obama and his pals put on a good one.
The Democrat party, as we have previously shown in other articles on this site, has not only been at the forefront of this country’s injustices perpetrated upon Native Americans, but has been–and unless a miracle occurs, always will be–the party of servitude and aristocracy, and uses a smokescreen of tolerance, diversity, and appeals to low-income individuals to institue socialist ideals and infrastuctures, where only those at the top have any “right” to break away from the “benevolent” programming of the government. The Obama administration used their race/culture-based namedropping upon Natives, the most downtrodden of all minorities, in their quest to appear as everything the allegedly racist Republicans were not, all while doing nothing for Native security, rights, or sovereignty.
Joe Biden is a man who, most of the time, can barely form sentences. Joe Biden is a man who expressed concerns that new ant-segregation laws in the 70’s would turn his neighborhood into a “racial jungle”. He is a man who has embraced every blatantly false but popular lie about our president in order to get ahead. Joe Biden and his uncaring croney Harris are socialists par excellence.
Joe Biden is a man who stood in the face of black America and said: “Vote for me or you ain’t black”!
While we are probably beyond the point where another Trail of tears, Long Walk, Dawes Act, or Wounded Knee are fashionable (if nothing else) anymore, it is likely that the time of patting the Indian on the head and keeping him well fed (on the reservation, as Hillary Clinton is fond of pointing out), will return to normal; a time we were well on our way out of with the small but significant accomplishments the Trump administration made for Native Americans, for even if attrocities of the past are not entirely out of style, it is a certainty that American Indians are.
Though Donald Trump seemed to think otherwise.
Yet there is hope…
We at the Native Conservative are dedicated to giving conservative and Republican Natives a voice, and speaking up for the truth about Native philosophy and conservative ones. We tirelessly fight for the rights of First Americans as peoples, for unity and equality with all Americans, and, as we’re fond of pointing out, the conservative point of view is better equipped to do this than anything that fancies itself as “liberal” these dys.
The hope we speak of is you.
No matter what happens, no matter what laws get passed, we must all continue to wake Natives up to the truth of the past, the present, and pave way for a brighter future for all Americans by doing our best to combat the crooked liberal media and change the evil face of conservative America they’ve labored so hard to tack upon it, all while teaching other Americans the true meaning of being a child of this land from an Indigenous perspective.
When President Trump was doing all of those things for Native Americans, hardly anyone outside the rooms they took place in and those they directly affected knew about it. The airwaves and news stations were silent. The carefuly constructed ingorance most Americans have about Native Americans more than ensured no one was searching for them online, either.
This is all because those in control of mass media know that there is only one thing more devestating to their cause than a gay conservative, or a Hispanic conservative, only one thing even more dangerous than a black conservative:
A Native Conservative.
